Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector is seeking Associate Computer Systems Architects / Computer Systems Architects to join our Model Based Engineering Tools team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Engineering department. This position is located on-site in Melbourne, Florida.

The MBE Tools Computer Systems Architect leverages prior engineering design/analysis experience to support Model-based Analysis (MBA), Model-based Design (MBD), Model-based Manufacturing (MBM), and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiatives related to engineering tools development. The candidate works independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of Engineering Tools and exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of the assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

Maturation of digital thread between engineering and manufacturingEngineering CAD/PLM tools development and maturation of requirementsDocumentation of engineering use casesValidation and testing of CAD/PLM tool functionalityCreation of training/best practice documentationProvide subject matter expert (SME) user supportDevelop/update sector processes for CAD/PLMThis requisition may be filled at either an Associate Computer Systems Architect (T01) or Computer Systems Architect (T02).

Completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2026 OR completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of relevant Engineering experience by August 2026B e majoring in or having majored in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other STEM fieldBe able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needsPreferred Qualifications for both levels:

Active Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).Experience working in an aerospace design environment. Primary Level Salary Range: $65,800.00 - $98,800.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
