Adjunct - Architecture

The Department of Architecture, Design & Urbanism seeks applicants to teach in various capacities as adjunct faculty member in the Drexel University’s Architecture Program. The mission of the Drexel Architecture Program is to pursue architecture as a professional discipline by combining the rigors of the academy with the realities of contemporary architectural practice. Each adjunct faculty member is responsible for effectively teaching students in the assigned classroom or remote settings. Teach required number of credit hours per quarter based on contract.Teach studio, lecture, seminar, and/or practicum courses per contract.Plan and provide instructional experiences that reflect an understanding of the philosophy, objectives, and curriculum of the program.Acquire and maintain skills necessary to navigate Drexel online teaching resources (e.g. Minimum of a Bachelor's or advanced degree in architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, architectural engineering, or a related field.Professional experience in architecture, landscape architecture and/or urban planning and/or pertinent engineering disciplines.Teaching experience in architecture and/or urban planning.Demonstrated expertise in the field pertinent to the position.Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to teach evenings and/or weekends as needed.
