APPIAN ARCHITECT

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Appian Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale Appian BPM solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Appian architecture, application development, integrations, and solution governance. This role requires strong leadership capabilities to drive successful delivery of complex Appian programs while collaborating closely with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams.

Key Responsibilities

Architect, design, and implement scalable Appian solutions aligned with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards.

Lead end-to-end Appian application development, deployment, and support activities.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather requirements and define solution architecture.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to Appian developers and project teams.

Design reusable components, frameworks, and best practices for Appian implementations.

Lead integration design and implementation using REST APIs, SOAP/Web Services, SQL databases, and third-party applications.

Evaluate and optimize application performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.

Drive code reviews, architecture reviews, and adherence to Appian development standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across Appian environments.

Implement Appian governance, security controls, and deployment strategies.

Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams for CI/CD and environment management.

Mentor junior developers and contribute to organizational Appian capability development.

Stay current with Appian platform enhancements, AI capabilities, and RPA features.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

10+ years of IT experience with extensive Appian development and architecture experience.

Appian Lead Developer Certification (Mandatory).

Proven experience leading large-scale Appian implementations and delivery teams.

Strong expertise in:

Appian SAIL

Process Modeler

Appian Records

Appian Sites

Appian Portals

Appian Data Fabric

Process Automation

Hands-on experience with recent Appian versions.

Strong understanding of BPM, workflow automation, and case management solutions.

Experience integrating Appian with enterprise applications using:

REST APIs

SOAP Web Services

SQL Databases

External Authentication Systems

Experience with Appian RPA and AI Skills.

Strong knowledge of database design and data modeling.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Financial Services or Banking domain experience.

Experience with cloud-based Appian deployments.

Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.

Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks.
