Title: Application Architect

Location: Buffalo, NY

Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 +Bonus

Responsibilities

Serve as a senior technical leader guiding enterprise application and integration architectureDefine current-state and future-state architectures across multiple business domainsEstablish standards for applications, integrations, and data flows to ensure scalability and consistencyLead and support system integration, modernization, and application rationalization effortsPartner with business leaders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure alignment with strategic objectivesProvide architectural oversight during implementations, integrations, and data migration initiativesEvaluate existing systems and recommend strategies to retain, replace, retire, or modernize platformsDevelop and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and long-term technology roadmaps

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field7+ years of full-stack development experience, including time as a technical lead5+ years of experience in application or solution architecture rolesProven experience leading complex, cross-functional implementations and integrationsStrong understanding of enterprise application ecosystems (ERP, HRIS, billing systems, integration platforms)

Preferred:

Experience supporting large-scale enterprise transformations or mergersBackground in regulated industries (e.g., utilities, energy, financial services)Experience with cloud-based platforms and hybrid architecturesStrong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical teams and executive stakeholders
