Architect

Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Architecture or related field and 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for professional architectural work involving the application of professional architectural principles and practices; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated. Considerable working knowledge of the principles and practices of the standard sources of architectural and engineering information, building construction and principles and practices and legal requirements of building, plumbing and electrical codes. Ability to design, detail and draw architectural and engineering features of various buildings, structures and installations which are pleasing and are adapted to the functions they must perform. Registration as a professional architect in the State of Hawaii.
