Your Role As a Gensler Architect located in our Atlanta Office, you will leverage your attention to detail and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional client projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong technical skills and experience in both the Hospitality and Residential practice areas with the ability to produce drawings and specifications as needed. Lead architectural deliverables on projects, working with Design Director(s), Technical Director(s), and project team(s) for all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and productionProvide creative direction to design teamsCollaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutionsProduce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawingsAssist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordinationContribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programsAdvance the understanding that design resilience is a responsibility of every person at GenslerCultivate design expertise with the desire to always learn, grow, and evolveActively support firmwide sustainability and resilience goals, guiding clients and project teams toward multi-benefit sustainable and resilient design solutionsActively mentor the next generation of leadership by inspiring, empowering and leading by example. 10-15 years’ experience as an Architect within a architecture and design firm managing projects in the fee range of $2M-10MExperience with commercial projects such as base building and interior architecture for hotels, multi-family, and residentialExperience leading projects of a variety of scales, and mentoring and collaborating with Interior Designers and ArchitectsStrong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal management skillsAbility to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituents.Commitment to a collaborative design processKnowledge of local building codes and standardsProfessional degree (Master or Bachelor) in Architecture from an accredited programLicensed / Registered Architect required + LEED accreditation are preferredProven experience mentoring and coaching junior team membersThis is not a remote position.
