Architect

DLR Group's Las Vegas office has an opening for an Architect K-12. Position Summary You will assist in creating and delivering project documents and collaborate with the integrated design team to ensure high-quality results. You will partner directly with the Project Manager to ensure the financial health of the project, the quality of project documents, claim prevention, team collaboration and communication. Conduct analyses of design, planning, and code studies, and generate related reports independently or with guidance as neededDesign layouts and aesthetic features for basic architectural assignmentsCoordinate drawings and specifications with the specification writer and assist in preparing some sectionsApply DLR Group practice standards to project assignments and develop comprehensive design and technical skillsets for material and construction techniquesParticipate in innovative idea generation within the team to achieve design excellenceUnderstand and apply BIM standards to projects and develop organized work sets according to DLR Group standardsExecute QA/QC procedures, resolve clash detection issues, and review and address comments from third-party QA/QC reviewsCollaborate actively with the project team to generate design ideas and solutionsCommunicate effectively with project team members through written, oral, and visual meansSeek new knowledge and skills by asking questions of peers and proactively share potential solutionsDeliver project work on schedule to meet overall project deadlines and understand project work plans and target deadlines for each taskRequired Qualifications:
