Architect

Overview:

Cripe has an opening for an Architect with experience in the Commercial/Retail industry. Key responsibilities include design and client interaction throughout all phases from preliminary design through post-occupancy, planning and design, design team interaction, client and consultant coordination, scope, and schedule compliance. Applicants should have a general understanding of commercial/retail design requirements, codes, standards, and current trends as it complements a project team of designers and outside consultants toward a deliverable product consistent with the highest level of industry standards. This position works with a cross-discipline project team of designers and outside consultants toward a deliverable product consistent with the highest level of industry standards as well as the Cripe internal Quality Control system.

Essential Responsibilities / Tasks:

Design / production work as assigned by and overseen by Project Manager such as:

Preliminary design responsibilities based on client provided informationProduction drafting of Plans/Construction DocumentsField verification of existing conditions will require work outside of the office.Coordinates projects in accordance with Cripe WayVarious construction administration tasks as requiredContractor shop drawing review for conformance to construction documentsPeriodic programming and schematic design exercisesOpportunities for growth and career enrichment
