Architect

Beyond TalentEdge has a direct hire opportunity for an Architect. Our client is a boutique architect firm in Rochester, NY.

In this role you will work across a range of project types. We are looking for a licensed Architect who can own and deliver projects from start to finish — working directly with clients, consultants, and contractors in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment. This is not a support role. You will be responsible for projects from pre-design through construction administration.

Responsibilities:

Lead full project delivery across all phases — pre-design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration
Develop complete Revit documentation independently, with a high degree of accuracy
Manage project fee tracking and monitor hours against budgeted phases
Own client relationships — facilitate meetings, manage communication, and maintain trust throughout the project
Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical consultants
Produce 3D design concepts and client presentations using SketchUp
Manage document collaboration using Bluebeam
Conduct site visits and handle construction administration duties including RFIs, submittals, and closeout

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

NY State license to practice architecture required (or reciprocity actively in process)
Minimum 5 years of experience independently managing and delivering full architectural projects — pre-design through CA
Advanced proficiency in Revit required
Proficiency in Bluebeam, SketchUp, and AutoCAD
Strong client-facing communication skills
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Comfortable working in a small firm or studio environment strongly preferred
Degree in Architecture required

Salary:

$75,000 - $85,500
