Architect, Architect ​/ Sr. Architect

Position: Architect I Young + Wales Architects is seeking to hire an Architect with 5 to 7 years of professional experience in design and construction. We are a small, award‑winning firm dedicated to enhancing Charleston’s historic urban environment through thoughtful adaptive reuse and restoration projects. Our office has received local, national, and international awards and recognition for our work, and we strive to provide our clients with the best outcomes for their buildings.The nature of our office is that everyone will focus on three to four projects at one time, which offers day‑to‑day variety in projects and project phases. Employees will gain experience by supporting projects from start to finish and will be able to be present and engaged through every stage of the project.Our work specializes in adaptive reuse, historic commercial and higher education renovations and additions, and select historic residential work in downtown Charleston.
