Architect, Architect ​/ Sr. Architect

We’re recognized as a leader in sustainable design and construction, with many of our projects certified to the highest green building standards including Passive House, LEED, net -positive energy and the Living Building Challenge.The OpportunityAs a Design Professional or Architect at Green Hammer, you will be involved in a variety of projects from renovations, single- family residences, to multi-family and commercial developments—sometimes balancing several projects at the same time. Depending on the project scale, you will fulfill a variety of roles including Project Architect, Project Designer and/or Project Manager, and you will be engaged with projects from early Conceptual Design through Construction Administration. While this role is primarily based in our Portland office and on project sites, team members may work remotely one to two days a week, subject to project requirements.Required Qualifications Degree in Architecture5+ years of professional work experience in ArchitectureStrong communication skills– verbal, written and graphicCreative and collaborative designer with ability to work independentlyHighly organized w/ ability to manage multiple priorities and projectsFamiliarity with sustainable and regenerative design with a drive to continue developing expertiseDesire to grow professionally and take initiative; interest in project management as much as designProficiency in RevitPreferred Qualifications Architectural licensureProject management and project leadership experiencePassive House knowledgeFamiliarity w/ code research, zoning analysis, technical detailing, consultant coordination, managing design project schedules, and construction administration.Proficiency in Enscape, Sketch Up, Affinity Publisher (or Adobe InDesign), Microsoft suite, Procore, Smartsheet, BEAM Tool and Bluebeam software.You are inspired by Green Hammer’s mission.
