Your Role As a Gensler Project Architect, you will collaborate with a team of architects and designers to develop design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction administration phase of a project. Participate in all phases of designCollaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectivesManage project team and coordination of consultantsTake ownership of financial cycles by managing client follow-up, calendars, deadlines, meetingsOversight of innovative design strategies and unique brand concepts on multiple projectsWork on new business proposals/presentationsWrite and edit project communications for project teams such as scope and fee documents, meeting minutes, work plans, budgets and schedulesUnderstand key aspects of studio business and proactively develop ways to create better client engagements, people-centric approaches, and project efficienciesProduce BIM models and construction drawingsResolve challenging technical and design issues with the team to produce innovative, technical and constructible solutionsFlexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of developmentA quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environmentEffective communicator, collaborative and team-consciousProvide Mentorship and coaching to grow junior staff membersProvide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges Maintain project manual and specificationsParticipate in office culture and initiatives Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school Licensure required10+ years of experience in the profession of architectural designExperience within Critical Facilities preferredStrong experience working with Revit and RhinoProficiency with SketchUp, 3D Max, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, but not requiredExperience managing multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultantsExperience working directly with contractorsExperience resolving complex technical and design issuesExperience performing zoning and code analysis in multiple jurisdictionsUnderstanding of how buildings are constructed, along with the ability to create technical documents that succinctly, thoroughly, and accurately describe the work to be doneStrong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skillsDemonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices required.
