Overview Responsibilities Prepares or modifies complex detailed implementation documents and drawings with or without minimal supervision using diverse knowledge of architectural principles, practices and advanced techniquesMay lead team in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problems with limited guidanceMay review the preparation of implementation documents by architectural teamCollaborates in preparing project schedules and coordinates with team in order to effectively meet deadlinesExecutes deliverables according to scope of services and HKS standards, best practice and quality expectationsAssists with technical resolution and coordination for a defined portion of a projectValidates that code and zoning requirements for assigned segment of project are metMay coordinate with project managers, clients, public agencies, consultants and contractors to incorporate engineering systems, to respond to requests for information, clarifications and modifications, and to obtain approvalsPrepares client presentations and presents design concepts and drawings as neededUnderstands and supports negotiations on critical issues with project teamPerforms product research; assists project designers with materials and systems evaluation to make proper selectionsParticipates in team meetings to discuss project issues, technical issues and coordination with other disciplinesMay attend on-site visits, field reviews and project meetings and documents as appropriateMay be responsible for preparing meeting minutes for consultant coordination meetingsTravel may be required Advanced – expert-level experience, knowledge or skills Advanced skills in Revit requiredIntermediate skills in Navisworks, Bluebeam, Twinmotion, Enscape or other Visualization tools requiredIntermediate skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign requiredIntermediate skills in Rhino, Grasshopper and Dynamo requiredIntermediate skills in MS Office Suite requiredIntermediate knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelines requiredIntermediate knowledge of materials, construction techniques, building codes and QA/QC process requiredIntermediate ability to research and apply/incorporate into technical documents requiredIntermediate experience with the entire project lifecycle through post-occupancy requiredIntermediate presentation, graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas requiredIntermediate organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time requiredIntermediate ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships requiredIntermediate ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing requiredIntermediate ability to problem solve and apply innovative solutions requiredIntermediate ability to work and collaborate in a team environment requiredIntermediate ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality required
