We offer competitive compensation and benefits and are searching for innovative people to join our team.We are currently seeking an Architect (Level II) to work out of our National Harbor, Maryland office.Primary Job Responsibilities: Manage and handle small to mid-size building, from concept, final design to Construction Administration.Demonstrated thorough knowledge of architectural design, detailing, building materials, building codes, construction techniques, and costsSelects, evaluates, and implements architectural procedures and techniques to use to complete projectsDesigns innovative architectural concepts in direct response to user, programmatic, environmental, and cultural contextsDefines and develops functional and spatial requirements of new structures or renovations, and prepares information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction timeWrites specifications as assigned, coordinates with material manufacturers, and inspects raw materialsPrepares and reviews design documents, construction documents, shop drawings, and materials for compliance with design intent and program requirementsDevelops design drawings, such as plans, sections, elevations, and models using hand drawings as well as advanced CAD and 3D softwareSolves complex problems in connection with the architectural design of projectsAbility to manage project scheduling, budgets and coordinate bidding processVisit job sites to conduct inspections, verifications, and progress evaluationsExperience and competency in supervision and production of drafting and detailingExperience and competency coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and others during various stages of project developmentEffective verbal and written communication skillsOrganized, with the ability to work on multiple projectsHard working and self-motivated, ability to work well under pressure Minimum Requirements / Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from accredited college or university is requiredReady to prepare and sit for NCARB Exam.Minimum of 4 to 6 years of Architecture design experienceMust be knowledgeable of building codes, state agency procedures and design standardsExperience using BIM software, such as Revit 2016 or laterAutoCAD ProficiencyProficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and In-DesignPreparing for the NCARB examMust be eligible to work in the USIf you would like to apply for this position, please submit your resume along with relative examples of work to the following email address: Reference Architect (Level II) Position in subject line.
