is an architecture, planning, interior design, and historic preservation firm located in Coral Gables, Florida. The candidate must hold a professional degree in Architecture and have at least eight years of related experience. The position coordinates with the Principal on design and technical solutions. As a vital component of the design team, develop original and creative design concepts, ideas, and solutions.Prepare and oversee detailed working drawings for the construction of new construction and for the restoration, repairs, or adaptive-reuse of existing structures.Be responsible for medium to large size projects and coordinate project workflow under the direction of the Principal or Senior Architect, as applicable.Review architectural plans and specifications prepared by staff or by contract architects and engineers to verify compliance with Florida Building Code and project budget restraints.Research laws and codes in conjunction with projects; implement code, accessibility, and zoning assessments; evaluate and integrate engineering systems.Initiate work assignments for assigned staff and provide work direction and guidance to junior architectural staff.Supervise the preparation of plans for new construction and historic restoration projects; develop architectural designs.Make calculations involved in design specifications; write or revise specifications.Establish and coordinate work sequence and construction schedules as required.Perform construction administration duties, including field inspections and preparation of field reports.Maintain day-to-day client interface and communications for assigned project components.Work with the Principal and Controller to maintain project budgets and to establish/maintain project contracts.Maintain project archives and update records, drawings, and specifications.Certify final completion of projects and contracted services when delegated by the Principal.Use a creative strategy to carry out activities and responsibilities in an orderly, timely, and consistent manner while staying within the parameters of the timeline and budget.Perform related duties as assigned. Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Architecture, Design, Historic Preservation, or a related discipline.Must be actively pursuing or have Architectural Licensure in the United States.8-10+ years’ experience in AutoCAD and Revit.8-10+ years’ experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.Knowledge of Adobe Suite.
