Architect Specialist

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a dedicated Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, with additional operations in Orlando, Florida, and a technical support center in Southeast Asia and East Africa. We provide comprehensive program management and facilities engineering services globally, supporting the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) and various federal agencies.

We are actively seeking a skilled Architect Specialist to join our team in supporting U.S. Navy facilities and infrastructure projects located at the Government facilities onboard NSA Naples, Italy. In this role, you will leverage your architectural expertise throughout all phases of planning, design, and construction, ensuring top-quality facility designs that meet code compliance and functional requirements.

This position is contingent upon contract award. If the contract is awarded, it may last up to five (5) years.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert architectural support for the planning, design, construction, maintenance, renovation, demolition, and facilities development for Navy, Marine Corps, and other supported commands, including MILCON and special projects.Review and recommend improvements on third-party designs, coding, programming, space planning, sustainable design, code compliance, and cost estimates.Collaborate with project stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams of engineers and architects to ensure cohesive, code-compliant, and tailored designs.Apply architectural principles to all project phases such as programming, space planning, concept design, and construction documentation.Ensure compliance with DoD regulations, Navy standards, the International Building Code (IBC), Life Safety Code, and relevant safety standards.Utilize Autodesk, Microsoft Office, and various architectural design tools to support project execution.Prepare comprehensive technical reports, design analyses, presentations, and project recommendations, contributing to effective planning and budgeting.Adhere to safety policies, guidelines, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements throughout all work activities.Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program or equivalent NCARB-approved experience.A minimum of 5 years of professional architectural design experience, including overseeing new construction and renovation projects.Experience with Federal Agency facility projects is required, with at least one year in this sector.Registration as a licensed Architect (RA) is highly desired.A valid U.S. driver’s license is essential.Why Choose Planate?
