Architect Specialist

Planate Management Group (PMG), a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) based in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida, is seeking a talented Architect Specialist. Join us in supporting the Nairobi CAA Project, where you'll be pivotal in the construction of a new CAA building alongside the existing chancery. Your role will encompass architectural oversight, construction administration, and quality assurance throughout all phases of the project, ensuring compliance with approved design documents, U.S. codes, and contract requirements while preserving design integrity and functionality.

This position is contingent upon the award of the contract, with a duration of three years.

Key Responsibilities:

Review architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals for compliance.Conduct site inspections to ensure construction quality and adherence to design intent.Monitor contractor quality control processes and implement corrective actions as needed.Evaluate Requests for Information (RFIs), substitutions, and design changes for technical accuracy.Coordinate with engineering disciplines to resolve design and field conflicts.Track construction progress and identify risks that may impact schedule or quality.Maintain logs and prepare reports for RFIs, submittals, and inspections.Identify deficiencies and ensure timely resolution.Support the verification of completed work for payment applications.Qualifications for Success:

Bachelor's degree in Architecture.Minimum of 7 years of relevant construction experience.Licensed Architect preferred.Overseas work experience is essential.Familiarity with U.S. codes and international standards.Experience in QA/QC and construction administration.Knowledge of Construction Safety regulations, including EM 385-1-1, OSHA, etc.Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) required.Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.Why Join Planate?
