Job Title: Architect Standard (W2 Fulltime)
Location: Onsite in Washington, DC 4 day onsite
Duration: 6 months Contract

Architect Standard III / 8–12+ years experience in Enterprise Architecture / Enterprise Architect with Application Rationalization experience & someone who can choose out of 100 applications around 50 applications we should work or rationalize / Solution Architecture / Proven experience in portfolio rationalization / transformation programs / Experience designing and executing enterprise-scale application rationalization frameworks, including classification models, decision criteria, and governance mechanisms across large, heterogeneous portfolios / TOGAF (mandatory or strongly preferred) / SAFe for Architects (for scaled delivery environments) / BPM (for rationalization rigor)

Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
• Lead design of multiple simultaneous projects, develop and maintain core architectural constructs, provide architectural leadership to relevant teams from various location across the globe
• Communicate critical technical choices, specify requirements and constraints for design and implementation, and provide input for scoping the level effort for development projects
• Provide a long-term vision for the platform, taking into account changes in technology within the context of ITS current implementation and our feature roadmap
• Advise on deployment strategies for new features and components, assessing if rollout plans are safe, progressive, and reversible
• In-depth understanding of the business environment, its processes and complexities of the corporation and apply the knowledge towards the proposed work program.
• Design and validate solutions that are practical, flexible, scalable, reusable, and strategic
• Contribute to the development of a body of generally applicable methods, procedures, and deliverables
• Recognize and identify potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
• Present, discuss, and walk through the merits of the solutions recommendations with a group of enterprise architects
• Institute and lead the adoption of best practices and standards, to improve the quality of the deliverables
• Ensure best practices are adhered to in the adoption of new technologies
• Architect solutions across multiple IT environments and Business system components, envision solution for projects / programs / applications
• Research, evaluate, and select from existing and emerging technologies the options best fitting business and IT strategic needs
• Interact with the Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Platform teams to ensure that solutions are built in adherence with the defined enterprise standards
• Manage daily technical challenges and communicate with management if there are any risks or issues
• Stay abreast of the latest technologies and tools being used to improve IT development and delivery
• Coordinate effort within different IT groups like Enterprise Architecture, Office of Information Security, Data Management Office as and when needed.
• Understanding of security best practices and standards

Educational Qualifications and Experience:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
• Experience in the design and delivery of enterprise architecture products and artifacts
• Levels II and III: Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Experience working with clients in multiple domains and executed multi-year projects working in a multi-vendor environment.
• Up to date with new trends, best practices and range of tools used in projects and applications.

• Good knowledge of one or more areas of architecture practice
• Ability to provide training, coaching support for architecture projects
• Ability to visualize and create high-level models (rigorous information-rich diagrams), ability to extend and mature the business architecture
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization (this includes written and verbal communications, as well as visualizations)
• Ability to act as liaison conveying information in suitably accurate models between the business unit and their counterparts within Information Technology
• Self-starter with the skills to lead a team
• Proven conceptual, analytical, and judgmental skills
• Ability to work directly with clients and management without supervision and to facilitate and navigate discussions with stakeholders to ensure clarity, prioritization, and consensus
• Ability to work with different points-of-view and lead the team to convergence, while always keeping the project objectives in sight
• Excellent personal organization skills and ability to take
