Architect/Project Designer – Education

It's a position built for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and wants to be involved in the full arc of a project-from early ideation to built results. Oversee projects from design conception to construction completion while focusing on meeting budget, timeline, and client specificationsHelp lead the team of Architects, Engineers and Interior Designers to manage design, coordinate construction documents, and resolve any issues that may arise in construction administrationSupport the Principal in Charge in addressing client priorities and maintaining smooth client relationships, while remaining motivated, organized, and passionate about projectsAct as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and consultants on projectsMentor and work closely with junior staff to review their work and support their career developmentWork on multiple projects of varying sizes, providing team guidance through every phase of designAbout you: A bachelor's or master's degree from an NAAB-accredited institution8+ years of professional architecture experience, with 4+ years of experience working on commercial, institutional, and/or education projectsProfessional licensure preferred, or on the path to attaining licensureProficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and NewformaExperience in project architecture and management including consultant coordination, design and construction document preparation, and working with the contractor through construction administrationA desire to work collaboratively with team members in a constructive and engaged manner onsite in our Richmond officeExcellent organizational and communication skills with an ability to listen carefully and analyze informationExperience managing/mentoring staffThe ability to travel to other Baskervill offices or client project locations as neededWhy Baskervill?
