Architectural Associate I – Bureau of Architecture - SF Public Works (5265 TPV)

Under direction, as an Architectural Associate I, you will perform and be responsible for a variety of complex architectural duties in connection with the investigation of building sites, the preparation and coordination of preliminary and final working designs and drawings, and the preparation of related specifications for a variety of building renovations and construction maintenance and conversion projects. You may be tasked with planning and assigning work to other architectural drafting personnel. In this role you will interact and coordinate design work with other Public Works design disciplines such as architects, civil engineers, structural engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers and mechanical engineers. During design work, you will support and produce plans and designs to present to City departments, residents, communities, agencies, commissions, and all stakeholders to achieve consensus before proceeding with construction documents. • You may be required to perform duties in connection with the architectural phases of interior design and construction management and, when appropriate, apply critical path method techniques.
