Job Title: Architectural Barrier Testing Specialist Work Location: Anchorage, AK (JBER)*** Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview Conduct field inspections and assessments of USACE facilities to identify architectural barriers to accessibility.Evaluate site and building elements such as parking, entrances, doorways, restrooms, signage, and paths of travel for compliance with ABA, UFAS, ADA, and other applicable federal and DoD standards.Document findings with accurate field notes, photographs, measurements, and detailed reports.Use specialized tools (e.g., digital levels, slope meters, measuring devices) to verify compliance with accessibility requirements.Prepare written reports outlining deficiencies, non-compliant elements, and recommended corrective actions.Communicate effectively with design teams, facility managers, and USACE representatives to clarify findings and support mitigation planning.Participate in project meetings and provide expert guidance on accessibility improvements.Maintain a strong working knowledge of current accessibility codes, USACE policies, and federal building requirements.
