Black Family Hospitality (BFH) is seeking a Full-Time Architectural Design Project Manager to join our growing team and support a robust pipeline of hospitality and restaurant projects.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically skilled, and comfortable wearing multiple hats. You’ll work alongsige the Director of Design, SVP of Construction and Development, and company leadership to translate hand-drawn concepts into detailed, buildable drawings, maintain and update existing restaurant documentation, and help develop new properties from concept to completion, work with contractors and make decisions in real time. With several new projects on the horizon and ongoing work across multiple locations, this is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow with a fast-moving, design-forward company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Create architectural drawings from hand sketches, verbal direction, and concept plansDevelop floor plans, elevations, and technical details in AutoCAD or RevitCoordinate small updates, repairs, and additions for operating restaurant locationsSupport documentation and design for upcoming projectsGather field measurements and assess existing conditions during site visitsParticipate in in-person meetings for project reviews and team collaborationCollaborate closely with the Director of Design and executive team.Working for contractors, making decisions in real time and keeping projects on scheduleMaintain organized drawing sets and manage project files efficiently.Efficient and has a hand's - on approachWillingness to jump in and finish what they startedQuick learner that is able to grasp information quickly, and doesn't shy from asking questions to make the best decision
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
3–5 years of relevant design or drafting experience in hospitality, commercial, or retail environmentsHands on, able to pro-actively address problems quickly and dissimulate it to the contractorsProficiency in AutoCAD and/or RevitExperience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign and PhotoshopStrong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable interpreting hand sketches and asking clarifying questionsHighly organized with excellent time management skillsSelf-starter with a problem-solving mindsetAll work is in-person at the High Road office. Traveling to project sites a few times a month will be required along with overnight stays
