Architectural Design Specialist

As an Architectural Design Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the development, coordination, and delivery of project materials, including drawings, models, and documentation. This role requires minimal supervision, allowing you to lead design initiatives while reviewing the work of junior team members for accuracy and completeness. Conceptualize and execute layouts and designs that require creativity and strong judgment.Engage actively in code reviews and discussions.Prepare comprehensive project deliverables such as models, plans, elevations, sections, and schedules.Participate in design status updates, contributing insights during both internal and external meetings.Ensure specifications are followed to deliver high-quality designs, providing input where necessary.Coordinate designs and resolve conflicts among various disciplines and field conditions.Conduct field surveys to document existing conditions.Respond promptly to design queries and coordination requests.Estimate labor needs for assigned tasks.Process and review submittal documents effectively.Identify and address gaps in your work and that of others before formal reviews.Uphold project and client standards and procedures.Essential Skills: In-depth knowledge of architectural disciplines and familiarity with other relevant areas.Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and other essential modeling and drafting software.Understanding of how design decisions impact project scope, timeline, and budget.Ability to analyze technical problems and provide viable solutions, presenting options to the design team.Strong questioning skills to clarify project direction.Awareness of industry best practices.Leadership capabilities to guide junior staff, fostering a positive work environment.Experience in delegating tasks under the supervision of project architects.Solid knowledge of building codes and industry standards.Ability to break projects into manageable tasks with accurate time estimates.Considerable experience in modeling and drafting.Extensive experience in model reviews using Navisworks and Bluebeam.Ability to lead design aspects for specific areas or systems.Qualifications: Associates degree in Computer Drafting and Design or a related field, or equivalent experience.5-10+ years of experience in industrial and high-tech facility design.Join us and enjoy a comprehensive benefits package focused on your health, well-being, and future, including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) plans, paid time off, and more.
