Architectural Designer

We're looking for an Architectural Designer who brings real expertise and takes ownership of the design function. You'll be in the room for the conversations that matter. What You'll Do • Lead design development across all phases, from initial programming and schematic concepts through design development and construction documentation • Run client design meetings and selections appointments, guiding clients through material, finish, and specification decisions across multiple rounds • Produce construction drawings and documentation that our project managers can build from without ambiguity • Create renderings and visual presentations that communicate design intent clearly to clients • Collaborate with pre-construction on design-driven cost estimates and value engineering decisions • Maintain design intent through the build by staying engaged with the field team during construction • Contribute to improving our internal design process as the company grows What We're Looking For • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Architectural Design • 3+ years of experience in residential design, preferably custom homes or high-end renovation • Required proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp • Experience producing high-quality renderings for client presentations • Working knowledge of residential building codes and construction methods; familiarity with North Carolina codes is a plus • A portfolio that demonstrates design sensibility, complete construction documents, and client-ready renderings • Clear communicator who handles client relationships with confidence and works well without heavy oversight • Familiarity with design-build delivery is a plus; genuine interest in how buildings get built is non-negotiable You'll work with a team that respects craft, holds high standards, and takes pride in the finished product.
