Architectural Designer

We are currently seeking a full-time Designer to join our creative team. Please be located in the Portland metro area and able to work in office. Manage multiple projects concurrently with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlinesParticipate in client, stakeholders, jurisdiction meetings and understand needs in order to develop architectural solutionsCoordinate with other design disciplinesAssist design team in documenting site measurements and project dataPerform IBC code checksResearch jurisdictional zoning requirements and document findingsProduction of construction documents through all phases of the design process under the supervision of the Project Architect or Project ManagerProduce conceptual renderings for project design and presentationAccept direction from the Project Architect or Project Manager to pick up edits/redlines as neededCoordination with governmental agenciesUnderstand the importance of time management as it pertains to each project’s schedule and budgetInvolvement in Construction Administration, site visits and project completionQUALIFICATIONS: 3+ years related experience is required, preferably in an architectural firmBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited college or universityWorking towards licensureThorough knowledge of IBC codes – ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical codes including; state building code, energy code, fire code and local zoning codeDocumentation knowledge – ability to create, select, evaluate, and implement architectural details, procedures and techniques used to complete project documents at all phases of a projectKnowledge of building materials and construction methodsWillingness to accept new and/or additional responsibilitiesExceptional organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently as well as within a teamManages time well – ability to plan, prioritize and organize simultaneous assignments and work under tight deadlinesExcellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, clients and consultantsSoftware proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), required, AutoCAD proficiency is a plusJob Type: Full-time Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
