Position Overview: Architectural Project Designer

Domain Cityscape Architects is seeking an Architectural Project Designer to support technical inputs for surveys and construction documentation. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, and experience producing documentation for commercial projects. The candidate should be receptive to direction and comfortable collaborating within a team environment.

Work Environment

This is an in-office position based in either Dearborn, MI or Novi, MI.

Key Responsibilities

Produce construction drawings in Revit or AutoCAD based on design sketches, redlines, and direction from senior team membersApply standard architectural details to project documentationAdapt prototype designs to meet project-specific requirements under the guidance of a Project ManagerSupport Project Managers through research, documentation preparation, and coordination of project detailsTravel to site surveys as needed with the project teamContact building departments to gather information required for permit submissionsDemonstrate a willingness to learn and grow, as this role is often a developmental path toward becoming a licensed architect

Qualifications

1–2 years of experience contributing to construction documents for commercial projectsBachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent experience requiredMaster’s degree in Architecture preferredStrong attention to detail, particularly in drawing coordinationProficiency in Revit and AutoCAD requiredAbility to produce renderings in Revit preferredProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
