Role Description

The Architectural Designer will create architectural designs, produce construction drawings, collaborate on urban planning projects, and contribute to innovative solutions for diverse building types. Day-to-day tasks will include managing project workflows, coordinating with team members, and translating client needs into high-quality design deliverables.

The successful candidate will be exposed to many different building types, construction methodologies, and will get hands-on experience working on active projects heading towards construction. Staff will work closely with principal architect Gregory S. Cavanaugh, AIA NCARB, a FL registered architect with 30+ years of professional experience. The firm will support licensure candidates seeking AXP hours.

This role is currently remote, but will become in-person as we look for studio space. Candidates in Seminole County and adjacent counties within a reasonable commuting distance of Longwood will receive first preference.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Architectural Design, and drawing/modeling software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, and Rayon.Experience with Construction Drawings and related documentationStrong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate workExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaborativelyBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field preferredCurrently enrolled students and AS/BS Architecture or Architectural Technology may be considered
