As an Architectural Designer, you'll have the unique opportunity to work with beautiful, one-of-a-kind timber and other natural materials while helping bring distinctive architectural visions to life.

This role offers far more than traditional drafting and design work. You'll collaborate closely with architects, fellow designers, engineers, and construction professionals throughout the entire project lifecycle, gaining valuable exposure to every stage of the design-build process. From concept development through construction execution, you'll play an integral role in creating exceptional, high-performance structures that showcase the beauty and character of timber frame and wood frame construction.

Remote work:

This position is full time in office. Flexibility for remote work is offered in specific, limited instances, but not on a continuous basis.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Project initiationGather and organize site and zoning informationSet up project files ready for design workReview local codes for potential issuesReach out to local jurisdictions about projectsExisting conditions as builts as requiredDesign Modeling and VisualizationDevelop initial concept designs based on direction/feedback from the Design ManagerSchematic modeling and visualization in Revit and EnscapeConcept modeling and visualization for select projects in collaboration with sales teamDevelop presentation packages for client meetingsAssist with interior design and construction related details/visualizationConstruction Drawing DocumentationConstruction drawing set setup within RevitPlans, elevations, sectiosn and details in Revit based on red lines and guidance from other team membersManage document and drawing revisions in an organized manner

Qualifications:

Required:

1-3 years of experience in architecture practice4 year degree in Architecture related fieldAdvanced proficiency in Autodesk RevitProficient with Microsoft Office programsStrong design abilityHigh attention to detailTechnical detailing experienceHighly collaborative, ability to work effectively with a teamExperience with construction documentationHighly organized, great note takerAbility to manage multiple project deliverables and prioritizeInterest in sustainable and high performance design practicesExcellent communication skillsPreferred:

Experience with EnscapeExperience working on residential projectsNCARB experience hours more than half completeInterest or experience with building science concepts
