The Project Architect / Project Manager serves as the backbone of the project team, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest quality standard. ResponsibilitiesLead projects through all phases of design, including conceptual, schematic, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.Collaborate closely with internal design teams to produce thoughtful, high-quality design solutions.Guide iterative design workflows from early concept development through refined, presentation-ready deliverables.Oversee architectural documentation, BIM coordination, and drawing production for multiple projects concurrently.Ensure alignment with internal QA/QC standards and office best practices.Lead zoning and code analysis and ensure compliance with applicable regulations for permit submissions and respond to plan review comments.Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams, including structural, MEP, civil, and specialty consultants.Manage technical detailing, material assemblies, and integration across disciplines.Oversee production schedules and milestone deliverables.Serve as a primary client contact, managing communication, expectations, and deliverables.Participate in proposal development, fee planning, and staffing for construction administration efforts, including site visits, submittal and RFI review, and coordination with contractors.Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing.Contribute to the evolution of office standards, workflows, and operational procedures.Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education.Essential SkillsProject managementProficiency in Revit and related design, modeling, and documentation software (e.g., SketchUp, Bluebeam)Architectural designConstruction administrationSchematic designProject coordinationConstruction document management5+ years of experience in multi-family and/or mixed-use projectsStrong design sensibility paired with excellent technical and organizational skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsLicensed Architect requiredAccredited professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)Proven experience leading multiple projects through all phases of design, including construction administrationAbility to lead collaborative teams in a fast-paced, design-driven environmentClient-facing personalityExperience with zoning permits, quality assurance, and quality controlWork EnvironmentThis position is based in an office environment with flexible work-from-home options to support family life, though a hybrid schedule is not offered.
