You will have the opportunity to work with a team of talented professionals on all aspects of project design and development under the direct supervision of a Principal. Accredited professional degree in architecture8-15 years post-graduate, full-time working experience in an architectural firmLicensed Architect in the U.S. preferredA strong design sensibility and attention to detailPassion for design, a pulse on emerging trends, and a developed point of view about your workEnthusiasm for utilizing a diverse set of approaches to creative problem solvingAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, hands-on, creative environmentRelationship builder who enjoys engaging with clients and industry partnersCollaborative leader capable of inspiring teams and bringing people together around a shared visionExcellent communication and presentation skills with the capability to influence design outcomesWorking knowledge of, and demonstrated experience with, local zoning ordinances and building codesTechnical knowledge of building systems, material assemblies, and engineering conceptsProficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Enscape, Sketchup or Rhino, Affinity Publisher/Photo and Adobe Creative SuiteFamiliarity with Grasshopper and 3ds MaxMulti-family Residential (Type 1, Type 3, Type 5), Commercial Office and Higher Education project experience preferred Provide design leadership on project work and within the studioEngage with clients to understand project needs and generate design concepts accordinglyEstablish a project design philosophy that is responsive to client and firm goals of performance, craft, and beautyImplement project design philosophy and work toward the successful execution of the project through design and construction phasesDevelop design and technical drawings, visualizations, and studies in collaboration with project leadersManage time and organize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines, including oversight of junior team membersParticipate in team meetings and client presentations, working closely with multidisciplinary teamsResearch and promote opportunities for new or innovative system applications; proactively look for and implement processes to improve work product and efficiencyEngage with the project and studio team with a positive, team-first attitudeRepresent SCB to clients in a manner that generates trust and cultivates long-term relationshipsFoster a culture of design excellence and continually raise standards for design process, communication, and deliverables SCB is dedicated to the principles of equal employment opportunity (EEO) in any term, condition or privilege of employment.
