Role Description

This Architect role at Greenblott Design is a contract position in an optional hybrid work arrangement based in Menlo Park, CA, with the potential to lead to a full-time position. The Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop architectural concepts, produce detailed designs, and ensure alignment with project requirements and client goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing drawings and documentation, coordinating with engineering, and reviewing with the design principle. The role also involves participating in project planning, tracking milestones, and proactively addressing design and implementation issues. The Architect will contribute to design reviews, maintain compliance with relevant codes and standards, and communicate regularly to keep projects on schedule and within scope.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Architecture and Architectural Design skills, including concept development, space planning, and the ability to produce clear, detailed drawings and documentation.
Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including organizing work, managing timelines, coordinating stakeholders, and supporting delivery of projects on time and within budget.
Relevant experience with building codes, standards, and permitting processes, as well as proficiency in industry-standard design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Suite).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
A degree in Architecture or a related field, and prior experience in architectural practice or related design roles, is required.
