JOB TITLE: Design Professional

JOB LOCATION: Westbrook, ME

JOB DESCRIPTION: The candidate must be a positive team player, be personable, and be a clear communicator. Attentiveness to clients’ needs is critical. An ideal designer will match the company’s relaxed, collaborative office culture and bring energy and creativity into their work.

QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Minimum of two years' experience in preparing design documents for new construction and remodel of existing buildings
Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, or equivalent professional experience
Professional license not required
Experience with commercial projects for new construction and remodel of existing buildings; notably retail clients that include tenants and developers, projects a plus
Possess solid technical knowledge and understanding of construction documentation
Ability to work under guidance from senior designers on design and construction documents
Experience with project management, code review and analysis, and quality control
Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
Develop architectural designs and schematics using CAD software, including AutoCAD and Revit.
Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure design specifications are met.
Create detailed construction documents and presentations utilizing Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite.
Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies to inform design decisions.
Manage project timelines and coordinate with contractors during the construction phase.
Stay updated on industry trends and integrate innovative design solutions.

The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, and location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
