Architectural Designer - Commercial Projects

Our client, a respected architectural firm with a strong portfolio of commercial developments, is seeking a talented Architectural Designer to join their team in Des Moines, Iowa, US . This role is ideal for a creative and detail-oriented designer who is passionate about bringing innovative building concepts to life. You will play a key role in all phases of the design process, from conceptualization through construction documentation, collaborating with senior architects and project managers to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities: Assist in the development of architectural concepts and design solutions for commercial projects. Prepare detailed design drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details using CAD and BIM software. Develop 3D models and renderings to visualize design proposals for clients and project teams. Coordinate with engineers and other consultants to integrate building systems into the architectural design. Research building materials, codes, and regulations relevant to project requirements. Assist in the preparation of construction documents and specifications. Participate in design review meetings and client presentations. Contribute to site analysis and programming activities. Maintain project documentation and drawing files. Support senior architects and project managers throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure design quality and consistency with firm standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture. 1-3 years of experience in architectural design, preferably with exposure to commercial projects. Proficiency in architectural software, including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with 3D modeling and rendering software is essential. Strong understanding of architectural principles and design theory. Knowledge of building codes and construction methods. Excellent graphic and visualization skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Eligibility to work in the US is required. This position requires full-time, on-site presence in our Des Moines, Iowa, US office.
