Architectural Designer IIOverview
VCBO Architecture is seeking an Architectural Designer II to contribute to the design and delivery of architectural projects within a collaborative studio environment. This role is based in our Utah office and is ideal for a developing architectural professional with experience in design, documentation, and project coordination.
You’ll contribute across multiple project phases, take increasing ownership of project responsibilities, and work alongside experienced architects and project leaders while continuing to grow your technical and design expertise.

Key Responsibilities
Contribute to design, documentation, and coordination across multiple project phasesPrepare drawings and models for schematic design, design development, and construction documentationApply knowledge of building systems, codes, and construction methods to project workCoordinate with internal team members and consultants on project componentsSupport the preparation of client presentations, including graphics, renderings, and diagramsAssist with construction administration tasks, including RFIs, submittals, and addendaMaintain quality, organization, and consistency in project deliverablesProvide guidance and support to less experienced team membersCollaborate with project architects and managers to meet project goals, schedules, and deadlines
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related fieldTypically 3–7 years of professional architectural experienceProficiency in Revit; familiarity with additional design tools such as SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plusWorking knowledge of building codes, construction documentation, and coordination practicesStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a project teamInterest in pursuing architectural licensure encouraged; licensure is not required
