Architectural Designer - Mission Critical

Essential Functions: Responsible for assisting the Project Architect to ensure design and technical qualityCollaborate with engineers, and other consultants using ReviztoSupport the delivery of professional services as defined by the HED Design Process guidelinesAssist the Project Architect with directing staff and developing strategies for project deliveryUnderstand the design intent and ability to communicate it through documentation with limited directionAssist with required code research for project assignments Assist with material and product research as required for project developmentParticipate in internal and/or external project meetings as required by scope and schedule Coordinate with project team disciplines as needed by the projectPerform submittal reviews as assigned during bidding and construction administrationParticipate and assist in managing technical reviews in Revizto through all phases of the project to meet HED expectations for quality and project performanceManages tasks on Concept board and fluent in the project progressAssist with the development of Discipline work plans Ability to assist with Project Architect's responsibilities for short periods of timePerform other duties as assigned by the Project Architect, Project Manager, or Architecture Practice Leader Requirements: A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Architecture (4-year) degree required Licensure or active pursuit of licensure preferredProficiency in Revit is requiredFamiliarity with and experience navigating building codesLEED Accredited or other sustainability credential preferredMinimum five (5) years' experience in A/E industry required, experience in Mission Critical sector preferredA fundamental understanding of the coordination aspects and related requirements of all design disciplinesExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishStrong organizational skills Possess the desire to learn how to motivate and mentor staff and delegate work assignments Proficient in BIM/Revit as well as Microsoft Word, ExcelExperience in Revizto, Rhino, Bluebeam, Concept Board preferredVery detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible Ability to work well with others under deadline situations A commitment to the principles of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.A desire to use critical thinking skills for growth and positive impactNOTE: Please attach work samples or portfolio when applying Physical Requirements: Capable of traveling to and from project sites for attending client, project, and construction meetings Ability to access existing and new project sites for the purposes of project observation, investigation, and evaluation Ability to use equipment for communication and documentation purposes Visual acuity to perform responsibilities Work Environment: We embrace a hybrid model that promotes both autonomy and collaboration, including the freedom to work from home, with regular in-office days to connect with teammates and build culture.
