Architectural Designer – Transit Design-Build Projects

We are seeking Architectural Designers at both junior and intermediate experience levels to support a major Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) Design-Build program. ResponsibilitiesProduce architectural drawings, plans, details, and construction documents for transit and infrastructure projects.Support project delivery through design development, drafting, and production activities using MicroStation.Prepare coordinated drawing packages and assist with multidisciplinary design integration.Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and discipline leads to meet project milestones and deliverables.Support Design-Build project execution while maintaining compliance with client and agency standards.Coordinate within document control and project management systems to ensure design accuracy and consistency.Assist with technical reviews, design revisions, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture or related field preferred.3+ years of architectural design and production experience.Strong experience preparing construction documents and technical drawings.Experience with MicroStation preferred; candidates with strong AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software experience and the ability to quickly learn MicroStation will be considered.Experience supporting transportation, transit, infrastructure, public-sector, or large-scale commercial projects is highly desirable.Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple project priorities.Preferred QualificationsExperience with MTA, LIRR, NYCT, Amtrak, or other transportation agencies.Familiarity with OpenBuildings Designer and Bentley 3D applications.Experience using ProjectWise or other document management platforms.Previous Design-Build project experience.Understanding of transportation facility, station, rail, or infrastructure design.Why Join Us?Opportunity to work on a high-profile LIRR Design-Build program.Exposure to large-scale transportation and infrastructure projects.Collaborative environment with experienced architects, engineers, and project leaders.Long-term project pipeline offering career growth and development opportunities.Hybrid work environment with a strong team-oriented culture.Location: New York Metropolitan Area (Hybrid) Workplace TypeThis is a hybrid position in New York,NY.
