UMIAQ Design is seeking an architectural d esigner to collaborate on building design projects across the state of Alaska. The architectural d esigner will work and interact with a small team of professionals in a collaborative office setting. Develop building design and construction drawings with Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit software Stay current on materials, building technologies, and construction methods Selecting and evaluating building products and materials Ensure that designs comply with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals involved in the design process Review construction materials and techniques to ensure they meet quality standards Collaborate with clients to determine project requirements and design parameters Assist in the development and presentation of design proposals and designs. Strong design skills and ability to communicate design ideas clearly. Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching to handle files, drawings, or models.
