Overview: UMIAQ Design is seeking an architectural designer to collaborate on building design projects across the state of Alaska. The architectural designer will work and interact with a small team of professionals in a collaborative office setting. Responsibilities: Esential functions will include:* Develop building design and construction drawings with Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit software * Stay current on materials, building technologies, and construction methods * Selecting and evaluating building products and materials * Ensure that designs comply with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations * Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals involved in the design process * Review construction materials and techniques to ensure they meet quality standards * Collaborate with clients to determine project requirements and design parameters * Assist in the development and presentation of design proposals and designs. * Strong design skills and ability to communicate design ideas clearly. * Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
