Position Overview

The ideal candidate will possess approximately 2–5 years of experience within an architectural environment and demonstrate strong technical, organizational, and communication skills. Experience with Tenant Improvement (TI) projects is highly desired, along with familiarity in new construction project delivery.

The successful candidate will participate in projects from initial site documentation and planning through full Construction Document (CD) development and jurisdictional approval.

Responsibilities

Familiarity with existing conditions field surveys and documentation
Space planning and layout development
Preparation of comprehensive construction documents (CDs) and specifications that adhere to building codes and client requirements.
Code research and interpretation for governing jurisdictions
Coordination with in-house staff, consultants, and engineering teams including: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural
Communication with clients, consultants, and jurisdiction personnel
Responding to plan review comments and coordinating revisions
Ability to professionally defend code interpretations when appropriate
Reviewing and accurately annotating drafter and production drawings
Managing multiple projects simultaneously at varying stages of development
Maintaining project schedule awareness and meeting deadlines
Supporting project teams through all phases of design and documentationDesired Qualifications

Background/Experience

Bachelors or Master in Architecture
2–5 years of experience within an architectural environment
Experience with commercial Tenant Improvement (TI) projects preferred
New construction experience is a plus
Strong understanding of construction documentation and detailing
CAD expertise required
Familiarity with additional design and office software preferred, including: Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Rendering and modeling software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
Positive, energetic, “can-do” attitude
Team-oriented while also able to work independently
Customer-focused mindset
Ability to meet or exceed expectations consistently

Sector Experience Preferred

Experience in the following commercial Tenant Improvement (TI) projects highly attractive:

Quick Serve Retail (QSR)
Health & Fitness
Health & Beauty
Retail
Restaurant

Experience in additional commercial sectors is also welcomed and encouraged.
