We're looking for an experienced Architectural Documentation Lead (Job Captain) to lead the technical delivery of projects from early design through construction administration. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, coordinating consultants, mentoring others, and taking ownership of projects.

This position serves as the documentation lead for assigned projects while working under the direction of the Project Manager and/or Project Architect. As trust is earned, you'll be given increasing autonomy to coordinate the design team and serve as the technical resource from design through construction. You'll work closely with the Project Manager and Project Architect to establish project strategy, then be empowered to independently lead the day-to-day documentation and technical coordination of your assigned projects.

You'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with team members across all three offices, working on projects throughout the region while helping shape the future of a growing firm.

What You'll Do

Lead the technical delivery of commercial, industrial, and other architectural projects from early design through construction administration.
Coordinate architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and other consultants.
Prepare and oversee high-quality Revit construction documents.
Work closely with the Project Manager and Project Architect to establish project strategy, then independently lead the day-to-day documentation and technical coordination of assigned projects.
Coordinate directly with clients, contractors, consultants, and jurisdictions throughout the design and construction process.
Review submittals, respond to RFIs, participate in construction meetings, and support successful project delivery during construction.
Mentor junior team members and help maintain Hillside's quality standards.
Solve technical challenges and proactively identify project risks.
Help improve standards, workflows, and project delivery processes.

What We're Looking For

5+ years of architectural experience preferred, including experience leading commercial projects through construction documents and construction administration.
Strong Revit skills.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Design-build experience is a plus.
AutoCAD experience is helpful but not required.
