Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Architectural Drafter to join our design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and construction documents that support architectural projects from concept through construction. This role requires proficiency in CAD software, strong drafting skills, and an understanding of building codes to ensure compliance and accuracy throughout the design process.
Duties
Develop detailed architectural drawings and construction documents using CAD software to accurately represent design intent.
Draft technical details and specifications for various building components, ensuring clarity and precision.
Collaborate with architects and engineers to translate conceptual designs into comprehensive construction plans.
Conduct building code analysis to verify that designs meet local regulations, safety standards, and building code compliance requirements.
Prepare documentation for construction details, including sections, elevations, and material specifications.
Review and revise drawings based on feedback, project updates, or regulatory changes to maintain accuracy and compliance.
Assist in coordinating with contractors and other stakeholders during the construction phase to clarify design details.
Qualifications
Proven experience with AutoCAD software.
Strong drafting skills with an eye for detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards relevant to architectural design and construction.
Ability to analyze building code requirements and incorporate them into design documentation.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and project stakeholders.
Prior experience in architectural drafting or a related field is required.
A degree or diploma in architecture, drafting, or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
