Architectural Drafter/Designer Position

MedCore Construction, a structural steel company, is seeking a drafter/designer with experience in the architectural workplace. Candidates should be able to utilize AutoCAD and Revit to construct structural designs for MedCore’s installation field team. Structural designs would consist of fabricated steel and Unistrut components.

Qualifications

5 years minimum of experience in architectural drafting/design.Associates degree in related field preferred.2D AutoCAD experience.3D Revit experience.Unistrut knowledge and willingness to further develop an understanding of strut capabilities and catalog.Basic understanding of welding annotations.Ability to read and comprehend architectural construction drawing packages.Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to maintain a clean and organized work environmentReliable transportation.• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to collaborate effectively with team members

Responsibilities -

Drafting & Design

Create, revise, and maintain detailed architectural and structural drawings using Revit and AutoCADDevelop fully annotated shop drawings from sketches, specifications, and design conceptsApply knowledge of structural construction methods, materials, and building design best practices

Project Documentation

Maintain organized project documentation and ensure deliverables are completed on scheduleProduce bill of materials, cut sheets, and specifications for fabrication and installation

Design Collaboration

Participate in design reviews and contribute to the refinement of layouts and architectural detailsAssist with presentation materials, layouts, and visual design support as needed

Site Visits & Field Coordination

Conduct on-site surveys to verify measurements and existing site conditionsEvaluate project spaces and assist with layout planningSupport estimating and quoting efforts by documenting measurements and project scope requirementsVerify installation progress and alignment with approved plansLearn and utilize Leica 3D laser scanning hardware and software
