Architectural Draftsman (AutoCAD)

Company Description Chas Architects is a design-focused residential architectural firm based in Comfort, TX, dedicated to creating thoughtful, functional, and aesthetically compelling spaces. Role Description This contract, Architectural Draftsman (AutoCAD) role is based in Comfort, TX, but most or the work will be done remotely. The person in this role will prepare detailed architectural and construction drawings in AutoCAD, translate design concepts into accurate plans, elevations, and sections, and update drawings based on design development and coordination feedback. Qualifications Ability to produce Architectural Drawings and Construction Drawings that support design intent and project requirements.Foundational understanding of Architecture and Planning principles to translate concepts into practical layouts and details.Strong Drawing skills, including linework clarity, annotation, and use of layers within AutoCAD.Proficiency in AutoCADAttention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple drawing sets and deadlines.Knowledge of building codes and construction practices is beneficial; prior experience in an architectural office is preferred.
