Architectural Engineer

Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Architectural Engineer to join our team, focusing on the integration of building systems with architectural design. The ideal candidate will combine engineering principles with architectural concepts to create efficient, sustainable, and structurally sound building solutions.Key Responsibilities Design and analyze building systems including structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbingDevelop comprehensive building design solutions that integrate all technical systemsCreate detailed engineering calculations and documentationPrepare and review construction documents and specificationsCoordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplinesPerform building performance analyses and energy modelingEnsure compliance with building codes and safety regulationsDevelop sustainable design solutionsConduct site inspections during constructionReview shop drawings and submittalsProvide technical support during construction phases Participate in client meetings and presentationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Architectural EngineeringProfessional Engineering (PE) license5+ years of experience in building systems designStrong knowledge of building codes and standardsProficiency in engineering design softwareExperience with integrated building designUnderstanding of sustainable design principlesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong project management abilitiesEffective communication skillsPreferred Qualifications Master's degree in Architectural Engineering or related fieldLEED AP certificationExperience with BIM technologyKnowledge of energy modeling softwareBackground in commissioningExperience with historic preservation projectsThe ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background combined with creative problem-solving abilities. Must be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain high standards of quality.
