Architectural Design Engineer - Job DescriptionOverviewWe are seeking a creative, detail‑oriented, and technically strong Architectural Design Engineer to join our team. This role blends architectural design principles with engineering expertise to deliver innovative, functional, and sustainable solutions across diverse building projects.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop architectural and engineering designs for commercial, residential, and industrial projectsProduce detailed construction drawings, models, and technical specifications using advanced CAD/BIM platformsCollaborate with structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines to produce fully integrated designsConduct building systems analyses and perform required technical calculationsEnsure all designs adhere to building codes, zoning requirements, and safety standardsIncorporate sustainable design strategies with a focus on energy efficiency and environmental performanceReview and respond to contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFIsPerform site visits to verify construction progress and confirm alignment with design intentWork directly with clients to understand project goals, constraints, and technical needsPrepare and present design concepts, proposals, and supporting documentationRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design and engineeringProfessional licensure (RA, PE, or equivalent) preferredProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-standard design toolsStrong understanding of building systems, materials, and construction methodsKnowledge of building codes, regulatory standards, and industry best practicesExperience with sustainable design principles and LEED frameworksStrong analytical and problem‑solving skillsProven project management capabilitiesExcellent written, verbal, and visual communication skillsPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Architecture or EngineeringLEED AP or other sustainability-related accreditationExperience with parametric design toolsUnderstanding of construction cost estimation processesFamiliarity with energy modeling and building performance softwareExperience designing specialized building types (e.g., healthcare, education, laboratories)Technical SkillsProficiency in BIM platforms (e.g., Revit, ArchiCAD)Experience with 3D modeling and visualization tools (SketchUp, 3ds Max, etc. )Capability with energy modeling and analysis toolsStrong command of Microsoft OfficeExperience with project management or scheduling softwareRequired CompetenciesStrong design sensibility and technical expertiseExceptional attention to detailCreative and strategic problem‑solving abilitiesEffective leadership and collaborative working styleStrong organizational and time‑management skillsAbility to build and maintain positive client relationships
