CRA seeks an Architectural Historian to work in association with our Lexington, Kentucky office. With an understanding that it is the expertise and dedication of our team that forms the foundation of our reputation for high-quality work, CRA invests in its people and their professional development, and fosters a collaborative environment that emphasizes teamwork. • Assessing the effects of proposed undertakings on identified historic properties, in accordance with the regulations found at 36CFR Part 800. • Leading, or contributing to, the development of other types of historic preservation documents, including National Register nominations, state-level and HABS/HAER/HALS documentation, historic context studies, historic preservation plans, and other projects as assigned. Qualifications: • Possess a Master's degree in historic preservation, architectural history, history, or related field; • Meet the Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualifications in Architectural History; • Demonstrate at least two years of relevant experience (five or more years for mid-level); • Work well independently and as a team member; • Have excellent technical writing skills; • Be able to work within project budgets and schedules; and • Have the flexibility to travel overnight for projects.
