Architectural Job Captain (3 years exp. req.)

Minimum of three (3) years of professional architectural industry experience.Energetic, well spoken, and have the desire to seek new responsibilities and challenges.Ability to correspond effectively with colleagues and consultants.Ability to produce, read, interpret, and understand construction drawingsAbility to set goals, meet schedules and self-manage time effectively.Ability to take direction to complete tasks and ask questions when the assignment is unclear.Support the design team and ensure design intent is carried through all phases.Commercial architectural project experience. The candidate will work with a multi-disciplined team throughout the entire project’s development; from concept to completion. Develop presentation materials and renderings.Good understanding of building construction types, assemblies, and waterproofing.Ability to produce, read, interpret, and understand construction drawings.Prepare and oversee conceptual design drawings through construction drawings and detailing.Research and assist in product selection and cut sheets.Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and contractors to resolve technical issues.Conduct code research and ensure that drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, project requirements, UL/ASTM requirements.Manage day-to-day project production tasks, deadlines, and documentation quality.Assist in project coordination meetings and communicate effectively with the team.Support the Project Architect in translating the design intent into buildable solutions.Assist in providing construction administration supportProficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft products, Adobe Creative Suite, LumionStrong knowledge of building systems, detailing, and code compliance.Excellent organizational and communication skills.The job captain will independently perform a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architectural designs for projects of moderate size and complexity.
