Interns work alongside practicing architects, planners, and designers, gain technical skills, and rotate through multiple market sectors. The Basics - Every Friday off - Competitive hourly pay + $1,500 signing bonus - Access to professional workstations, 3D printers, and modeling materials How the Summer Works Week 1: Boot Camp - Revit training - VCBO standards and workflows - Building code and LEED overview - Introduction to active VCBO projects Interns rotate through four sectors (3 weeks each): - Civic & Recreation - Higher Education - K–12 Education Weekly rhythm: - Mondays: focused project and design work - Tues–Thurs: embedded with sector teams on active projects Week 12: Final Presentation Interns present their work to the office in a final design review. Presentation format is student-selected (digital, print, or models).
