Architectural Project Captain

About the Role Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Architectural Project Captain to support their design and construction administration efforts in Grand Rapids, Michigan . In this vital role, you will be responsible for the production of high-quality construction documents, coordinating architectural efforts with engineering consultants, and assisting in managing the construction administration process. You will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of projects by bridging the gap between design intent and on-site reality. This position is ideal for an aspiring architect or experienced technician with strong technical skills and a commitment to project success.

Key Responsibilities Produce detailed architectural construction documents using Revit and related software. Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, and other consultant drawings. Assist in the preparation of specifications and other bidding documents. Support the construction administration process, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals. Conduct site visits to observe construction progress and quality. Ensure designs comply with building codes and project requirements. Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology. 3-5 years of experience in architectural drafting and construction documentation. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. Strong understanding of construction methods and building materials. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
