Architectural Project Manager - Healthcare

Design Collaborative is seeking a full-time Architectural Project Manager for the Healthcare Studio with the skill set and passion to lead the design process, lead a multi-disciplinary design team, and help grow our Healthcare market. They will manage the day-to-day responsibilities of a project, including the project team, resources, scheduling, and budget. This individual will play a key role in the continued success of the team through their ability to build relationships, lead and manage projects, and assist with the mentorship and growth of team members. Familiarity with healthcare-specific codes (FGI Guidelines, NFPA, ADA), Department of Health submission and approval processes, and general experience designing for inpatient and outpatient healthcare settingsUnderstanding of medical planning principles, clinical workflow, and department adjacenciesExperience coordinating with healthcare providers, consultants, and equipment vendorsAbility to prioritize tasks, handle multiple deadlines, and coordinate schedulesAbility to shift from big picture awareness to technical details, ensuring the highest level of qualityKnowledge and understanding of BIM modelingProficiency with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong organizational skills and ability to work autonomouslyStrong communication skills internally within a team as well as externally with current or prospective, clients, consultants, and members of the communityStrong leadership aptitude and a desire to grow in a leadership capacityExperience successfully taking projects from programming through construction Project Leadership: Lead healthcare projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality, design integrity, and timely delivery.Team Coordination: Manage collaboration between in-house architecture, MEP, and interior design teams across both office locations.Scheduling & Budgeting: Develop and manage project schedules, staffing, and budgets to meet deadlines and financial goals.Client Management: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, guiding project vision and ensuring satisfaction throughout.Technical Oversight: Oversee design documentation, overall and healthcare-specific code compliance, and coordination of building systems.Equipment Integration: Collaborative with clients, owners, and vendors to coordinate medical and diagnostic equipment integration into projectsPermitting & Approvals: Manage submittals, coordinate with local jurisdictions, and ensure regulatory compliance.Construction Administration: Lead construction phase services including site visits, RFIs, submittals, and punch lists.Mentorship: Support the development of junior staff and foster a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture.Multi-Office Collaboration: Ensure consistent project delivery and communication between both firm locations.
